The Chiropractic Board of Australia (the Board) has published presentations from its recent practitioner forums, where over 400 chiropractors heard from the Board directly about their regulatory obligations as practitioners.
The forums were held in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Canberra to engage registered chiropractors about their obligations when advertising regulated health services, their continuing professional development (CPD) requirements, and the National Law1.
‘The Board always looks at ways we can reach out to the chiropractic profession about the responsibilities they have under the National Scheme2,’ Board Chair, Dr Wayne Minter said.
‘As part of this we held practitioner forums to help registered chiropractors understand their obligations under the National Law when it comes to advertising their services and to show how important continuing to learn and develop their skills during their career is to help protect the public. Attendees at the forums showed a real willingness to engage with the Board regarding the regulation of the profession. We had feedback about the usefulness of the information shared and so have published the presentations and recordings from the day to ensure those who were unable to attend can still access insights shared.’
